I am excited to have completed my first official multi-part series as a blogger! I truly hope you have found this series useful and have started to use some of these ideas and suggestions in your life.

Second, I have a BIG announcement this is my last post on this blog!

I am moving up town and taking you folks with me!

As of April 1st 2010 I will be posting from my new home DallasCyr.com (don't go there just yet)

I hope you will continue to follow me I promise to take the value, the messages and content to a whole another level!

BUT before then, we have some unfinished business here...

Welcome to part Six in the Six part series, Manifesting the Life You Desire. In this post we will discuss "Achieve & Maintain". No doubt there will be challenges in any endeavor. When we really step out to live the life we desire and implement the things we have discussed so far, you will still encounter obstacles but you will be better prepared for them. You will also need to stay open to detours or divine guidance along the way.

As a reminder each of the posts in this series offers great value on it's own but...

To get caught up in this series check out past posts:
Part 1 Vision
Part 2 Intention & Attention
Part 3 Belief & Feeling
Part 4 Joyous Action
Part 5 Correct & Adjust

AS ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WHETHER YOU AGREE, DISAGREE OR FEEL I MISSED SOMETHING LET ME KNOW. ALL VIEWS ARE WELCOME.

This post is about Achieving your goal & Maintaining it!

I have found there are two skills in true success, the achieving but then the continued practice of healthy habits to maintain whatever level of success you have realized.

An example from my own experience, I had a big picture goal; it took me about three and half years to get there but once achieved I felt empty. I had put so much emphasis on reaching the goal that when I got there I was left with the feeling of "now what?" Maybe you can relate?

I asked myself, "do I just work to climb up the hill all over again? and for what?" Inevitably I went into a deep depression. Now looking back and giving it some analysis as to why that happened I discovered a couple things.

First, I learned that my focus was only on the end result. I didn’t appreciate the doing, connecting and learning along the way. Also as I got closer to achieving my goal I failed to set another, bigger goal, after. I was left with the idea of just repeating rather than continuing to grow and build.

Second reason was, working on this goal, wasn’t really important to me. I was doing it for all the wrong reasons.

Remember even though you have a vision it doesn’t mean it’s something YOU should pursue. Don't forget the reasons we have the thoughts we have, is due to past conditioning. That's why all five parts before this post of exploring and getting new references, as well as taking time to discover what is really important to YOU, etc...are so key!

Since I've gotten on a path that truly aligns with who I am and what I want, not what someone else wants for me or convinces me is good, I have had greater success and less stress. I have also started to enjoy the whole process not just the end result; therefore, no matter what I accomplish I always feel fulfilled not empty or wanting.

So manifesting the life you desire is all about being “Totally” clear on what you “Really” desire AND enjoy every part, not also the journey but “Especially” the journey! Sure there will be things you're not crazy about. Career wise for example you may not love training, red-tape and hold ups, paper-work and so on, but the rest of the journey will be so much fun you won't be stopped by any of that (in fact at some point you might hire some one else to deal with that stuff).

If in Manifesting the Life You Desire your working on finding a mate; you need to be clear on who you're looking for but also clear on who you need to be to attract and retain that person in your life.

Next part to achieving what you desire is being open to receiving it. That may sound crazy but so many people don’t:

1. Make room in their lives for anything new. If your home is cluttered, mind is cluttered, life is cluttered the Universe has no way to give you more. Also you may still be holding on to anger or resentment of a past business or personal relationship. LET IT GO! Make room and make a declaration to the universe and God, literally, declaring out loud that you are open and ready to receive. Write it down and repeat it daily.

2. Believe they deserve it. We covered this a bit in Belief and Feeling part 3 of this series but it’s a very important point. You are deserving of all the good the Universe has to offer. Let go of any past guilt for whatever mistakes you made, start fresh. Forgive yourself and forgive others.

In living the life you desire there is no room for stagnate energy!

And finally Maintenance!! There is achieving and then there is managing what you get! They are two totally different skills. There is the classic example of the poor lottery winner who hit’s the jackpot and one year later they are back to broke.

Jim Rohn said getting rich is not about the money
but about the person you have to become to get there.

Here is another example; if you work hard to build a great, healthy physical body in order to enter and win a fitness competition and then once you get that trophy you start binging on fast food and you stop exercising what is sure to occur?

Darren Hardy wrote a great post not long ago about the one true key to success. The one thing that could virtually guarantee the achieving of any goal if applied and the one thing most fail to implement … CONSISTENCY!!!

This is why true success and achievement, is at present, reserved for the few and not the many. But you can decide now and at anytime to turn this around and join the top 5% of Achievers in the world. To maintain any achieved desire or move to the next one you must simply continue to perform the activities that got you there. Maintain the same frame of mind or better; maintain the behaviors or improve the behaviors that got you there!

So here we are at the end of this great six part series and you may have noticed manifesting the life you desire, as I mentioned in the very beginning is not Magic BUT its still Magical! You can do it!

What may seem so difficult now (hopefully less so after reading these posts) is completely attainable at any time you choose to implement these steps. You really do hold the key and its never too late to start "Manifesting the Life You Desire!"

Remember this is my last post here and in less two full weeks the new site will be live and loaded! I look forward to continuing to serve you and help you,

"Live Happier, Healthier and Wealthier Lives; Live Empowered."

Please feel free share Your thoughts. Did I miss anything? How might this help you or others?

Peace & Prosperity,
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. In this post we will discuss "Correction & Adjustment". No doubt there will be challenges. In addition you may need to stay open to detours or divine guidance along the way.

As a reminder each of the posts in this series offers great value on it's own but...

To get caught up in this series check out past posts:
Part 1 Vision
Part 2 Intention & Attention
Part 3 Belief & Feeling
Part 4 Joyous Action

AS ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WHETHER YOU AGREE, DISAGREE OR FEEL I MISSED SOMETHING LET ME KNOW. ALL VIEWS ARE WELCOME.

Correction and Adjustment - you have the vision, you set your intention, put your attention and energy towards what you want, you believe you can have what you desire, you are putting forth the effort to maintain a positive attitude and feel good; finally you have started taking joyous action and bamm... you're done right? Wrong!

Many people don't realize that manifestation and any real success in life, takes practice. Even more so it takes failure. As T. Harv Eker, author of the best selling book "Secrets of a Millionaire Mind" and founder of Peak Potentials says, "Every Master was once a Disaster." Yes failing is a part of succeeding. Failing is learning, it's growing, it helps to toughen the skin and give you the experience needed to reach your goal or find your purpose. You will hear me say this many times over,

"our challenges and obstacles in life are in fact our greatest gifts in life."

Hindsight is 20/20 and looking back I have never had a challenge where the result after coming out the other side didn't offer a new relationship, a problem for me to solve where after doing so generated more money or a skill or lesson that helped me grow as an entrepreneur.

In addition, like anything worth while in life, the Law of Attraction will take practice to master. This is a Law worth studying and mastering but it's not a magic pill.

Really what you're doing with the Law of Attraction is training your mind to create the life you want. It's like a workout routine to build a your mind-muscle. The more you train and practice the stronger it gets. Over time you will see that you will be able to manifest things faster and faster. I know for me what used to take me years, months or weeks can sometimes take days now. The more connected I am in the process, the higher my energy and belief, the clearer my vision, the faster the result. This goes for attracting anything, opportunities, money, relationships etc...

It's just important for you to remember three key things:

One - Practice. Always come back to this process over and over. These six steps to manifest the life you desire. Know that it takes action and sometimes you wont make the right decision. Sometimes you will lose faith in the process, you may get distracted and your attention or focus may shift. The action you take may not be joyous or in the direction of your vision. So what do you do when that happens?

1. Go back to your vision board or written plan and re-connect.
2. Exercise, read something positive, inspiring or motivating, listen to some uplifting music and basically put yourself back into the right frame of mind.
3. Meditate and quite the mind.
4. Take one step, one simple joyous act towards your dream no matter how minor.
5. "Act as if" Remember as discussed in my last post act as if the vision was already yours, because it is!

Two - Remember it's not magic (but it is mystical, powerful and a process of divine nature) Here is an analogy I like to use: You can succeed with out using (or consciously using) the Law of Attraction but doing so is like framing an entire house with a manual hammer; instead if you use a nail gun the result may be the same but you get there more efficiently with less exertion. It's the same if you use the Law Attraction consciously. But just because you use the Law it doesn't mean you can buy the wood and nails and then sit in your truck while the house constructs itself. This whole process is a tool and once mastered it can be the most important tool you will ever have to create anything in life. Note: above I said Consciously because the Law is constant and always working for or against you whether you know it or not.

Three - Stay flexible. You may have a vision in mind and know how you're going to get there but the Universe and God may know a better way or have a bigger mission for you. It is important to stay open to the signs and people that me your way. If you're vision is to narrow or your mind is closed and you're thinking "this is the way it's got to be" or you are set on something happening a certain way, you may end making things harder on yourself. I know this can be difficult for people. It was hard for me to learn. The idea of being "Flexible" does not come easy to me because I am a bit of a control freak. This is a good place to exercise faith. Remember you must be committed and focused but open;
there can be many paths to the top of the mountain.
Here is an example that may help. I have been in the insurance and financial industry for 10 years. I Built my own financial planning practice and have help many people with their financial needs but the suggestions I made and products I sold to clients were not the only way for them to reach their goals. Now, I am confident that what I recommended given my expertise and experience was the "Best" option for the clients needs, concerns, goals and resources but could that client have decided to work with someone else and still have reached their goals? Could they have worked with an advisor who had a different philosophy or access to different products but got them to essentially the same end result? Yes.

You may know what you want and think you know the best way to get it but God is limitless. Where you may see only a couple possibilities the boundless universe may show you a way you would have never consider; a better way, maybe an easier way. Actually the path may even seem "harder" but along that path you may learn something or meet someone that changes your life for the better forever; making the end result all the more sweet!

The road to success is never a straight and clear path; there are detours and falling rocks to look out for. For most people it takes much practice and correction to master the Law of Attraction and manifest the life they desire. I say most because occasionally there are those who just "Get It". They believe, they implement, they make slight corrections but with ease and they succeed using the Law as their guide and never look back. But for most (including myself) that is not the case and so it is important to know it will take time and to be gentle on yourself in the beginning; get good using these principles.

And here we are, almost at the finish line. One last post in the series. I hope you have enjoyed reading these as much as I have enjoyed writing them. Join me next week for the conclusion of "Manifesting the Life You Desire."

Part six: Achieve & Maintain.

Please feel free share Your thoughts. In this post we will discuss "Joyous Action"; what it means and its relavence to the Law of Attraction. I will also give you some tips on how to do everything as joyous action and hopefully you'll never have to "Work" again.

For me this is a joyous act being here to serve you and I hope you have enjoyed the series thus far.

To get caught up check out past posts:
Part 1 Vision
Part 2 Intention & Attention
Part 3 Belief & Feeling

AS ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WHETHER YOU AGREE, DISAGREE OR FEEL I MISSED SOMETHING LET ME KNOW. ALL VIEWS ARE WELCOME.

Work. To me, that is a dirty 4 letter word but "Joyous Action" is more like a bowl of ice cream with whip cream, hot fudge and Two cherries!

”To find joy in work is to discover the fountain of youth.” --Pearl S. Buck
Billions of people wake each day and go to "work" but to few are following their passions and/or taking joyous action.

Even though this is series about manifesting the life you desire you cannot live in the future. You must start where you are today. Start today, doing everything with a joyous heart, its the only way to truly live! No matter what you do, do it with energy and enthusiasm. If what you do now for work is not your Dream job or ideal career, no one should ever know it!

I am of the opinion doing your current work to the best of your ability and striving to be the best will accomplish many things. One, it puts you in state of feeling good and you know how important that is to manifesting the life you desire if you read my last post.

Two, working hard, with joy and a positive attitude will help to boost your confidence increasing the level of belief you have in yourself. (also discussed in the last post) It will also get you working at the level you will need to be successful in any future ventures.

Third, and it's a Big One... "doing everything with a joyous heart, giving 100% right where you are today, will make you deserving of more! And that is the key; for we are rewarded by God, the universe and others based on how deserving we are, not how needy we are!"

You may be saying, "but I hate my job" or "the people in my office drive me nuts, so why would I ...and how can I work with joy and a positive attitude?" Great question, here are a couple of tips as to how to love the work you are currently dissatisfied with.

Tip one, "Act as if". Let me say (with a kind and gentle slap upside your head) this is not a, "what came first chicken or the egg" scenario. If you truly want to your Dream job or to be working in your Dream career, to find and follow your passion, start a business, etc... you must First, "act as if"! You don't magically get the job you want or the opportunity you're dreaming of and THEN be happy, improve your attitude, be grateful etc...

You probably have heard this before but to "act as if" means to behave in manner of expectancy, to act as though you are already in that role. Think to yourself, "who would I have to become now to live the life I imagine?" Would the person doing what you now only dream to do have your current frame of mind, your current level of energy or enthusiasm in life? Would they behave with the lack of joy you do at work? No, almost certainly they would not. I promise you getting where you want to go will happen with much easier by "acting as if" you were already there.

"When people go to work, they shouldn't have to leave their hearts at home.”
--Betty Bender

Ok, so how do you learn to love what you do now, until you get where you desire to be? You Act As If...

Seriously it's amazing how working with the end in mind keeping your dream close, keeping your Attention on your dream as discussed in part 2 of this series, will put you in a brand new state of mind. Do this while living in the now and performing your current task or job. You will notice the work will get lighter, your energy will increase and people around you will treat you differently.

Tip two is to live with an Attitude of Gratitude! When I learned the power of this I started appreciating everyting in my life which, in turn made me aware of how fortunate I was to have a job I didn't like. Instead of being unhappy that I wasn't in my ideal Dream job I gave thanks that my bills were paid and that I had work when so many are jobless. With this new attitude of gratitude I kept searching in my free time for ways to live my passion and built a plan to get there but in the meantime I gave thanks for what I already had. Never lose perspective. When you think you have it rough or find yourself being ungrateful think of the many that have it worse. Then come back to your chair, your life, write down 5 things you have to be grateful for, say thank you, put a smile on your face and take "Joyous Action".

Tip three is to start doing more of what you love today! If you had all the time and money in the world what would you do? Well you don't have to wait. People think they have to wait to live the life they desire but you can take Joyous action immediately!

Here is an an example. You leave work, a job your not thrilled with but one you're enjoying more thanks to tips 1 and 2. You have always dreamed of traveling to Italy. Before, you thought it was too exspensive, you didn't have the time and you thought if you couldn't do it right or right now, why bother. Also, you figured it would happen "Some Day". Take joyous action now! Cut out pictures of where you want to visit in Italy. If you're a AAA auto member you can get free maps and guides at your local AAA center. Search online to find out the best airfares and times to visit. Write out how long you would like to go for and what you would do while there and start a Money for Italy jar. Maybe you only put in five dollars a week but START! And each night before bed take 5 minutes to look at your photos and then close your eyes and see yourslef on that trip; that is taking "joyous action". You can do this with the new career you want to start or learning to play the guitar, anything. Just take little steps towards your goal.

"Real success is finding your lifework in the work that you love." --David
McCullough
People have said to me, "Dallas all that sounds great and I would love to follow my heart and make my passion my career but I'm stuck". Or they say they feel stuck. I cannot stress enough, "You Are NEVER Stuck!"

I understand that if you have children to feed and bills to pay that you may feel as though your feet are in quick drying cement when it comes to living the life you desire. You may think if you did try and live the life you desire that you would struggle and your family would starve but that is why this process is so powerful!

Enjoy what you do now. Perform your current work with Joy and Gratitude. But make time to Dream and find your ultimate vision. Write it down, paint it, create a vision board or go to visionboard.com, the link is above and its free. Understand what you desire is already yours through the power of intention. Keep your Attention on your vision often, constently review, research and plan. Believe you can have it and that you deserve it! Take "Joyous Action" on a regular basis. Whatever small steps you can do now to keep in that state of expectancy; Act As If!

These steps will bring you closer to your desired life but it will also draw your dream closer to you! The greatest part is these are all things you can do now, right now! Go on, what are you waiting for?

Please feel free share Your thoughts. Did I miss anything? How might this help you or others?

Thank you for visiting.

Next post, part 5 Correction & Adjustments

Peace & Prosperity,
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. The importance Belief & Feeling have on manifesting what you desire. Part three in a six part series.

To get caught up check out past posts:
Part 1 Vision
Part 2 Intention & Attention

ENJOY AND FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WHETHER YOU AGREE, DISAGREE OR FEEL I MISSED SOMETHING LET ME KNOW. ALL VIEWS ARE WELCOME.

"Whether you believe you can or you believe you can not, you are right." ~ Henry Ford

Your Beliefs are the very fabric, not of who you are, but rather who you think you are and that is very powerful! Your beliefs shape how you feel about yourself and others. Your beliefs will either raise your life to a higher standard or keep you as low as you choose to be. In fact your belief is all that exists,
"no man can make you king if you believe yourself to be a pauper and no one can
hold you to being a pauper if you believe yourself to be a King."

In the realm of manifesting the life you want, so often people have a desire that leads to a Vision, which, they put their Attention on for a little while, but thanks to their limiting beliefs about what they deserve or are capable of, what they truly desire is never realized.

If you are not living the life you desire your beliefs may need an upgrade. Because what we believe has such profound affect on the way we see ourselves, it also affects the actions we will take or dreams we will allow ourselves to pursue, and therefore it affects what we do or do not accomplish in our lives. The problem is most of our beliefs are deep rooted and we don't give them much thought as to why we believe what we do OR...how it affects our lives.

If we don't recognize & understand our beliefs or the impact they have on us then how do we know what to change or how to change it? We will be destined to live false lives based on false understandings!

Change Your Beliefs

If you wanted to change what you believe you might start first by questioning what you believe.

Give some thought to how smart you think you are? How strong you believe you are emotionally? Do you consider yourself a success or failure in life? Is making money easy or hard? How do you feel about money; is money something that can be used to make the world around you better or is it the root of all evil? Is dreaming a foolish activity and a waste of time OR a great way to spend an hour and fuel the visions and passions you have for your life?

One exercise you can do to discover the beliefs you have is to recognize and preferably write down, in the course of a week, all the thoughts you have that are proceeded by one these statements:

If only...

I believe...

Yea but...

usually these statements indicate a belief such as, "yea but...I would be making more money if things weren't so tough in the economy" or "If only...I was skinnier it would be easier to find good relationship"

Also be on the look-out for statements or cliches' you often use like:

"True love is hard to find"

"The Rich get richer while the poor get poorer"

"Money doesn't grow on trees"

"It takes too much time (or money) to start a busniess"

"There isn't enough hours in the day"

Some majors areas to contemplate what you believe are:

How are you in your relationships as a spouse, parent, sibling or friend?

How are you in the work place as an employee or boss?

How are you with making and managing money?

How are you in the area of fitness and taking care of your health?

Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being poor and 5 the high score.

After you have determined your level of success or confidence in these areas ask yourself why you scored a 1 through 5. What do you believe about a particular area that makes you a 1 or 5?

The next part is to ask yourself why you believe the things you do. For example if you want to buy a rental property but you have a belief that real-estate investing is scary, ask yourself, "why do I think this?" Did your parents have a bad experience investing in real-estate where many nights at the kitchen table you heard about how hard and risky it is?

After you determine where the belief might have come from, ask yourself if the source is valid. Personally I Love my parents very much but I would never ask them for investment advice! If your parents aren't successful in real-estate does it makes sense to continue on with that belief or to create a newer more supportive one?

As I am sure you have heard before you want to discover if your beliefs are empowering or dis-empowering? Ask yourself how has this belief made your life better or worse? What has it cost you and what are you giving up if you continue this belief? The big question is...are you willing to pay that price just to keep yourself where you are? Actually it's worse, because we never really stay where we are, we progress or digress.

Keep in mind, it's one thing to have a dream but you'll never be the person you need be or have the vibrational energy you need, to attract your goal to you, if don't replace the old belief with a new one. You must believe you can succeed.

"You must believe better to become more. At that point you will move from believing to Knowing!"

So once you have determine that a belief is not serving you the final part is to replace it. For example if your belief is, investing in real-estate is difficult and risky, write "Investing in real-estate is easy and profitable" to replace it.

Do this for each of your limiting or dis-empowering beliefs and create a new mantra, then repeat one new belief each week as explained in the exercise below until you have a series of new Empowering beliefs in the areas where you wish to grow.

Create a new belief like the real-estate example above. Post your new belief where it can be seen often and read it out loud in this fashion: with your hand on your chest over your heart, in the mirror, looking yourself in the eye. Read the statement 5 times in the morning when you wake, 5 times in the afternoon and 5 times at night before bed. Do this for seven days.

This will help ingrain the belief in you because you will feel the vibration in your chest as you speak the words! You will Hear the new thought repeatedly in your ears and you will see yourself say it and (over time) see the transformation in your eyes as the belief changes. At first it may feel weird and you may have trouble saying it but by the weeks end you will be grinning in the mirror with confidence as you speak your new belief.

Side note: A difficult truth may be, if you think this is silly and you aren't willing to give something so easy a try what else are you willing "to Not Do" to accomplish your dreams? The answer is anything, your not really willing to do anything.

Feeling...GOOD

Feeling good is so fun why would you choose to feel any other way? Yup I said choose; it's a choice.

I could have created an entirely separate post in regards to the importance of feeling good and manifesting the life you desire but I believe that Belief & Feeling go hand in hand, so I chose to keep it relatively short; if you feel good you live good. When you feel good you become a magnet for your dreams.
The reason I said above, feeling good is a choice, is because beyond the chemical effect going on in your brain, how you feel has everything to do with your attitude and perspective.

For example I believe so strongly that our challenges in life (everyone of them with no exception) are Gifts, so whenever I am confronted with a challenge or obstacle I say thank you! I immediately look for the solution or opportunity to learn & grow and even though it may get tough and nothing is perfect, I remain in good spirits and in a positive frame of mind. This also goes when I have a flu or an illness I remain positive and feel good, and when I am under career pressure I feel good; I choose to always feel good.

When you feel good your vibrational energy (which we discussed a little in part 1 on vision) will be higher and that will in turn, more easily attract good things and good people into your life.

Let's think of this from a very simple stand point. If you knew of someone who was always negative, often complaining, stressed out and frequently in a bad mood, how much time would you want to spend with that person?

The universe is the same way being drawn either to or away from you, depending on your attitude, how you feel and therefore the energy you emit.

The trick becomes shifting your perspective. "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change" ~Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

You are more likely to maintain a positive attitude if you can keep a positive perspective on your life even when things are tough. Improving your perspective may take time. Improving your perspective may also take working on your beliefs. I didn't always look at my challenges as gifts, it took time and some work to get there. In addition to shifting your perspective for making mood changes quick in the short term it is a good idea to have a list of actions you can take to improve your mood immediately.

Here is a short list of things I like to do to improve my mood and feel good whenever I need help doing so:

Exercise = endorphins those always help to improve your mood.

Spend time with Pets.

Listen to upbeat music.

Write a list of things I am grateful for. (this will also do wonders on your perspective)

Watch a comedy.

Call a friend that can lift your spirits.

Side note: I will not cover this here because it is a whole post in itself but it is so important it had to be mentioned. Your diet and how you eat has a "Profound" affect on how you feel. So many people do not know how to eat properly and many think they do but are poorly informed. Be a master of nutrition and it will help you to feel good.

The quicker you can get back in a good mood, the longer you keep feeling good and maintain a positive attitude, the better. Remember be a magnet for your dream. Your dream, Successful people that you will need to attract to get there or that you'll associate with once there and the Universe, are all attracted to higher vibrational energy!

Believe in you, believe in your dream and feel good; you will be that much closer to manifesting the life you desire.

Ok, so...so far in this series we have discussed Vision and the idea that Vision is energy just like "Everything" else in the world. Vision is the seed to your desire. Your Intention is the path already created to reach your desire, it's Divine and comes from "Source" so it is a matter of cleaning the connection to your dream and clearing a path. Attention is the focus or water your vision needs to grow. Belief is important because it is easy to fritter away a vision you have or fall short on a goal when you don't actually believe it's possible and Feeling good is a major key to having the attitude it takes and being the person you need to be, to attract your vision to you.

In part 4 we will cover...

Joyous Action

This completes part three... or does it? Feel free share Your thoughts. What did I miss? How might this help you or others? Thank you for visiting.

Peace & Prosperity
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. The following post will still be very helpful but might have better context if you read the previous; that will be the case with each part in this series.

ENJOY AND FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OPINIONS AND IDEAS. WHETHER YOU AGREE, DISAGREE OR FEEL I MISSED SOMETHING LET ME KNOW. ALL VIEWS ARE WELCOME.

Intention & Attention

The power to manifest the life you desire is not only in having the “Vision” but how long can you hold the vision in both your conscious and subconscious mind. As I mentioned in Part one of this series the vision is the seed to what you desire. In that same analogy if you were planting and growing a crop the Attention on your vision is the water, it nourishes your desire. Your "Intention" would be the Sun...its the source.

The longer you hold the vision or keep your attention on the vision the more you bring it into your reality; it surfaces from the unconscious to conscious mind and the longer it stays there the better.

Along with your attention is “Intention”. Intention here is separate from the idea of intending and creating it by you alone. The key thing about intention is it comes from Source, from the infinite, from the Creator. But remember in part one Everything is Energy and so Everything derives from Source, therefore you are already connected to whatever it is you desire for your life.

In this principle of intention it is not about “Making” something happen, it’s about “Allowing” something to happen. In life you are not connecting with what you envision, because it’s already yours; you are “RE-CONNECTING” with your vision.

I’ll say it again you simply need to “RE-CONNECT” with what you desire. The more clarity you bring to your vision or desire and the longer you hold your attention on it, the faster it is realized. Dr. Wayne Dyer describes it as a link or wire that connects you to what you want and what is necessary is for the link to be cleaned. We have corroded it with fear, lack of belief or allowing doubt and negativity to muddy the connection etc… But when we can clean that link of past conditioning and advance forward with confidence holding strongly to our vision; it will be so.

Wayne Dyer has a book and PBS special titled the Power of Intention. I can not do this topic the justice it deserves without his help. This special moved me profoundly and changed my life forever. I have embedded the first hour of that special right here. The second half is available on Google at the link below. I will say this; the first 5 minutes will make you smile and say, “Wow”. After 30mins you will say “Holy Shit” and you will love what you are hearing and after two hours you won’t be the same.

How do you strengthen your Intention and connection to source?

Ask yourself often what do I really want? When the answer comes back and it makes you feel “GOOD”, you’ll know you are on the right track(more about the importance of belief and feeling good in part 3). Bring yourself back to what you intend for your life often. Keep your attention on what is good and what you are grateful for. Become more alert to where your attention is throughout each day. If you intend to make more money and live healthier, BUT your Attention is on how stressed out you are, how poorly you ate yesterday or how hurt, broke you are etc… you’re not focused on what you wish to attract. Those thoughts cannot occupy the same space

you are either thinking of and working towards what you want OR you are
drifting from it,
and keeping yourself from it. Remember keep the connection clean; “RE-CONNECT” to your vision because it is already yours. Live in positive expectation!

Keep in mind anyone can think of a goal, picture an image once, but how long they hold their Attention on that Intention determines their belief that it’s possible to obtain drawing that goal or item into their lives that much faster.

One of the best ways to do this; to RECONNECT is through meditation. Do it daily!

The next key and part three of our six part series in manifesting the life you desire is:

Belief and Feeling

Peace & Prosperity
Dallas M Cyr

PS. I noticed as I typed it was getting a bit long. For quality sake, I figured I would turn it into a series allowing me to elaborate on each part as necessary. This is part one of a six part series where we will discuss the Art of manifestation over the next six weeks. Join in, add your thoughts and ask your questions.

Over the next six weeks we will discuss:
Week One – Vision
Week Two – Intention & Attention
Week Three – Belief & Feeling
Week Four – Joyous Action
Week Five – Correction & Adjustments
Week Six – Realization & Maintenance

2010 is going to be a great year; at least it will be if you believe it will!

It’s No Longer a Secret

Ladies and Gentleman the proverbial Cat is out of the bag! By now we all know about “The Secret”. It is safe to say The Secret is out. The movie and book burst on the scene and created a buzz like no other, thanks much in part to Oprah. In one brief moment, what seemed like a minute, millions awakened to the power of The Law of Attraction.

Many people started to understand that whatever we can imagine we can create. For some this was reinforcement of an existing belief. To many people The Secret was the beginning of a new way of thinking and living. A lot of people started to live more consciously and spiritually from that moment. Quite a few people were left a little lost feeling the idea was too far-fetched and more magical mystical hoopla than anything concrete that could be used to improve their lives. And many felt and still feel it’s nothing more than just positive thinking. One key thing it helped me do is take more responsibility for my life; good, bad or indifferent.

Well to add to those groups above is the group that believes The Secret and the Law of Attraction was only part of the story and that it gives people the wrong impression that you can just imagine something and ‘POOF” it would appear. Folks in this group believe when you want to manifest something in your life it takes more than vision alone. I am inclined to agree with this group and although I believe the Law of Attraction is real and powerful, I think the following keys, help to complete the story.

Now before I continue, in fairness to the movie and book some basic element, of almost everything I am going to share, was mentioned. My intention is to elaborate and give a bit more detail and clarity to the Law of Attraction and the Art or Manifesting the life of your dreams, on a whole.

Let’s begin.

We know that if an architect draws plans and then puts those schematics or blue prints in a drawer never to be viewed again, “even if” by chance or divine intervention the building he imagined got built it wouldn’t have been by him! But we also know before those plans were drawn they were first a thought; an image in the imagination of the creating architect. I’m here to tell you that is all anything is…”a thought”. You create Your world, everyday by your thoughts, feelings and actions. The world itself is but a thought by God.

That is what makes the Law of Attraction so powerful but given the point made above it cannot work alone. Manifesting the life of your dreams may have one main lock, which is to see it first, imagine it, dream, have the vision etc…but once open; it’s like a Matryoshka, Russian nesting doll. There are other boxes with locks inside. This series is a discussion of the keys to those locks:

Everything is thought - the world is born there

Think of thought, the dream you have, your vision or the desire you have as the “Seed” for what you wish to attract. Once planted the seed needs a bit of attention, water and sun, but the start is the seed.

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become
it.” - William Arthur Ward

You do have to have vision and you need to “Trust It” (more on that later in the series). Many books including the bible make reference to man creating the life of his dreams.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Luke 11:19 King James

To take this one step further science has now proven everything is energy. In Eastern culture this is known as Qi (chi) or “Life Force”. Even something that appears to be matter or solid is an energy field made up of atoms which are vibrating at a particular frequency. Therefore, thought is energy and is no more or no less physical, than the chair you are sitting in right now!

Here is a great video narrated by Deepak Chopra to help illustrate this point:

Think about how powerful this realization is! You really do create your life, not only by the decisions you make (or fail to make) but also from your thoughts.

Here is another way to think about thoughts and energy. Have you ever been around someone who was very angry, just yelling & screaming, pissed off and in a really bad mood? How did you feel around that person? Did you feel calm and joyful? How about when you were with someone who was hurt, sad and depressed? When you were in their presence did you feel excited? Did you feel uplifted and positive? Now think about how feel around people that are laughing and having fun. They may be smiling and talking positively about something good that happened in their life or something they are passionate about? Of these people who are YOU most likely going to want to spend time with? Exactly! And yet many people who are often negative or frequently dissatisfied and in bad moods wonder why no one wants to be around them. Huh, go figure.

The Universe is the same way! The energy you send out into the universe will just attract more of the same back to you. Each thought is a thing with it's own energy which, will draw to it more of the same corresponding energy.

It becomes very important than to train the mind. T. Harv Eker, best selling author of "Secrets of a Millionaire Mind" teaches that there is something that comes before thought. Ever notice that your thoughts appear instantly without effort. You never think to think it just happens. But everyone’s mind works or thinks differently; why? The simple yet dramatic answer to that is, “Conditioning”. Your life experiences, what you hear, see and are taught craft the thoughts that appear in your mind. School, our parents, media and friends have all had an affect on our conditioning and the way we think.

So if you want different thoughts …get different experiences. Recondition
yourself.

Just a few short years ago the thoughts that would appear in my head day to day minute to minute were very different than today and what appears now. I have a different way of thinking. The things I know now to be possible are limitless. The way I feel about fear and obstacles, that they are "Gifts" (see previous post The Power of Investing...in You) rather than curses; all that changed because I reconditioned my mind through workshops, books and the people I surround myself with which influence me.

All physical reality starts with thought. Thought is physical, thought is energy. Our conditioning and experiences determine our thoughts. With that summary in mind here are a couple things you can do to improve your thoughts and plant better seeds to Create the life, you now only Wish to manifest.

Give yourself time and permission to dream - Be a kid again; pure, without judgments or limitation. Draw, color and paint while listening to classical (music known to be mind expanding in nature) Do you have something you have always found interesting but dismissed and never explored it? Maybe your intuition is guiding you. No matter how silly it may seem. Maybe you dream of being an Origami master. Let your mind enjoy. Day dream but don’t let the good thoughts get away write them down. Wow, I wish there were some way to yell that so you’d understood the importance and power of it! (video blog on the way, where I will be able to yell but until then) WRITE THEM DOWN!! If you’re not some one who writes you can now only image the power putting your thoughts on paper has and the importance it has to manifesting what you desire. Just trust me.

Create a vision board – yup, you heard this a Gazillion times, so… have you done it? Do you look at it? When was the last you updated it etc… personally I have two but now I have graduated to automation where I have words and images that stream, set to music so I don’t just see the vision… I experience it! Make a list of whatever you desire all the way down to the way you want to feel on a regular basis, don't just make it about material possessions. Mine even has pictures of people I plan to associate and work with. Check out Vision Boards.com from the link above. (not now, after you finish reading thank you) One more tip, share it with no one. When you run around showing people and talking about it all the time you waste energy. My experience is those that talk about what they're gonna, do or get, spend too much time talking and not enough time doing. Plus you open the door for people to spoil your excitement with their so called "realism". Will Smith said it best "being realistic is the best road to a life of mediocrity; why would anyone want to be realistic." If you do share it make it a close friend or love one who will encourage you and rejoice with you when you succeed.

See what else is out there – go Explore...the world, books, workshops, videos and magazines that uplift you. Look for things that empower you, that expand the way you think or shift your perspective. This site has a bunch of stuff to help you with that. Suggestions on books, magazines, workshops, coaches and websites.

Get better friends – I’m not saying your current friends are losers. I’m just saying seek out people living the life you desire. Model them. Go where they go, read what they read. It is said you will earn between 10% to 20% the income of the people you spend the most time with.

Meditation - as of the past year this has become my favorite way to both create my life and enjoy the life I create. There is nothing more powerful than turning everything off, lighting a candle and just sitting. The images you see and the clarity you get is quite literally, a gift.

That completes part one ... or does it? Feel free share Your thoughts. What did I miss? How might this help you or others? Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoyed part one and will join us again over the next five weeks.

Next week - Intention & Attention

Peace & Prosperity
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. Actually, I ordered a Grand`e, soy, double pump, sugar-free vanilla, triple-shot latte (to be specific)...I'm one of those people. Anyway I usually get my beverage and leave but that night I chose to stay and unwind before hitting the road. While I was there I picked up a book and started flipping through the pages. The book was called "ONE" and the theme(s) of the book is: you have the power to create a great life, live your life to the fullest and that - "one person can make a difference."

While perusing the pages and enjoying my cup-o-joy I came upon a wonderful and moving short story. Mind you, I had spent the last week working on an all new blog post, my next two blog posts in fact (I like to multi-task), but this story struck me to such a degree that I was deeply compelled to share it. I found this message simple yet powerful and the delivery of the story endearing. So here it is; I hope this touches you as it did me. Just one last thought before you read on, it's amazing all the things we take for granted...

"Seattle is a beautiful place, but in the 1980s I was living in a beat-up beach cabin. I had an old TV, a lumpy futon, and one of those white plastic Princess Phones. I was basically broke, but my noisy old refrigerator was stuffed with fresh vegetables, eggs, fruit, beer and frozen pizza...and I had a spectacular view of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline.

That year, I volunteered to host a college exchange student from Guinea-Bissau, Africa. When I picked him up at the airport, Salvatore was easy to spot. He was 23 tall and regal-looking, with a huge smile and lustrous blue-black skin. He had lived his entire life as a barefoot fisherman in a small native village located on a big river deep in the jungle of Guinea-Bissau...and now his village had raised the money to send him to study U.S. Fisheries on their behalf. He had travelled directly from his African village to Seattle, and I could see he was astonished at what he saw as we drove through the beautiful city.

When we arrived at my raggedy cabin, I worried that Salvatore might be disappointed with his new accommodations. He seemed somber as I showed him the little bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, TV and telephone. What was Salvatore thinking? I decided to take him out on the little deck to try to impress him with the view. The snow-clad mountains were spread out against the sky that day, and one of Seattle's majestic white ferries was gliding across the sparkling waters of Puget Sound. We stood there silently for awhile, and then Salvatore turned to me with his brow deeply knit in thought.

"You are a king?" he asked. "No," I laughed "I'm just an everyday person like you." Salvatore was silent for a moment , and then he turned again and said quite clearly and emphatically, "You are a King." And it suddenly dawned on me that he was right. All these years I had been a king and not known it."

Story by Scott Sabol, Ph.D.

During this Holiday season, as in many Holiday seasons past we may find ourselves getting caught up in the "stuff" we want. Our focus may be on the gifts we plan to buy others or the gifts we hope to get. But I warn, be careful, because while we are focused on what we don't have or wish we could have, we are not appreciating what we "do" have.

For me the story above is the ultimate example of gratitude. The key is a shift in "perspective". In the two minutes it took me to read this short story I went from a feeling of lack to the thought that I am as I was created to be... Royalty, and I have all I need and want. Even though we/I may, lose focus from time to time I am a believer that everything we want or desire in life is already ours and if we live as though our desires are already a reality, they shall be; this is the art of manifestation.

So if you or someone you know is struggling, wishing they had or could buy others more stuff this season share with them this story and remind them "They Are Royalty."

A few more thoughts and a final excerpt from ONE:

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of the world's population.

If you have a little money in the bank or spare change in a dish someplace...you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If you can drink from your kitchen faucet whenever you want...you are more fortunate by far than 1.5 billion people we have no access to clean water at all.

If you can attend a church or a political rally without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death...you have the kind of freedom denied to more than three billion people in the world.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than two billion people who cannot read at all.

If your everyday problems are weighing you down, there are millions of people on Earth who would gladly trade places with you right now, problems and all - and feel they have been royally blessed.

Remember: "From those to whom much is given much is expected."

ONE is on sale now at Starbucks and is filled with great anecdotes, ideas, quotes and suggestions to help you live and appreciate life more. It's a great gift for under $10 to share with someone special.

Also the publisher Compendium, Incorporated have many more books like this, many are themed by occasion; Birthday, Wedding or specific for Son, Daughter, family or friends. And after Fall comes? It has been that way for thousands of years that will never change. Ladies and Gentlemen it is a waste of time to argue with reality! To try and stop Winter from following Fall is hopeless so it becomes important instead to prepare for and learn to appreciate the Winter.

Now here is why I bring that up, what is true for all of us is “nothing will change in our lives unless we change.” We know God determines the seasons, Jim Rohn jokes "that when you get your own planet you can do things differently", but until then it’s out of your control. Just as the planet experiences seasons, times of death, renewal and times of growth or challenge, in your life there are also seasons. By seasons I am referring to challenges and opportunities. You cannot have a successful crop or business (or life) with out experiencing all the seasons. Success is not a matter of avoiding obstacles but learning to appreciate and prepare for them.

After opportunity comes challenge. If you have business growth you have to then prepare for and handle, the needs of your new clients. You have to deliver the value you promised. You will have clients that will be unsatisfied, employees will make errors and other businesses you rely on may make mistakes, lose your order, raise prices etc...

People often pray to hit the lottery. If you are so fortunate to hit the lottery for millions of dollars you have to then grow to become a better money manage so you don’t squander that windfall. You will have the challenge of where and with whom to invest, what to save or spend, family and friends that all of sudden need money (long lost uncles and cousins you never knew you had will need loans). Peoples perceptions may change of you, your ego my need to be checked and so on. We have all heard the stories of people who have hit the lottery and shortly after their life is falling apart and they are more unhappy then ever. Money simply meets us where we're at; money does not change us it merely magnifies who we already are.

So regardless of the event we need to learn to embrace the challenge and grow from it. In our lives winters will come, we are not bears; we are not built to hibernate. If you learn to accept and prepare for the difficulties in life you’ll experience a lot less of them and the challenges you do face you will be better conditioned to deal with.

Personally I take that one step further; I believe "our obstacles are our greatest gifts!" Jim Rohn says no Garden grows successfully that isn’t invaded by bugs and weeds. You can’t avoid difficulties and obstacles but you don’t need to; “you don’t need your challenges to be smaller, you need to be bigger!” In my life when I have struggled or come upon hardship I felt an intuitive sense within that nudged me to invest in my personal development. T Harv Eker, Tony Robbins, Jack Campfield have all done the same. These amazing leaders went out and sought mentors, hired coaches, read books and went to trainings that helped them become stronger, wiser, faster, more compassionate and more GRATEFUL. When I modeled this action I noticed my mountains became anthills. I grew bigger than the obstacles that once held me back.

Now with that said, even though the above makes sense to most people I speak with, few truly recognize the power of investing in personal development and even fewer actually do it.

This surprises me because if you don't know how to speak French than communicating in a language you don't know is a mountain, it's a big obstacle, so you would naturally (in this example) buy Rosetta stone or go to a class and learn French. Now what was once a challenge becomes easy because you are prepared; in fact your challenge has become a gift because you now know a new language. Everything in life is this way.

THE MORE YOU READ, THE MORE THINGS YOU WILL KNOW. THE MORE THAT YOU LEARN, THE MORE PLACES YOU’LL GO. ~ DR. SEUSS

We have to make a conscious effort to change. Most people don't change consciously, they just HOPE things will get better. Your life will not improve merely by hope alone. Simply wishing it were so, your life will not improve...you need a plan. What's your plan?

The method I used in the past to learn and grow (or barely get by) was to deny how bad things were, fail or get hurt over and over until I learned from that mistake and finally created the necessary change to avoid the pain I kept experiencing. I discovered long ago this is not the most efficient way to grow. So what's the alternative? The alternative would be to invest in your personal development with purpose.

In order for this method of growth to be effective we must first accept responsibility for everything in our life. Everything! Because even if we didn't cause a particular situation and even if we can't control another persons actions we still have control over the most important thing, Ourselves. And when we behave as though another person or event is the reason for our failure or unhappiness we give up our control and lose our personal power, our inner strength. It is never the event that is the problem, it's how we handle it! Here is where I refer you to the Serenity Prayer.

"God Grant Me The serenity to Accept the Things I Cannot Change, the Courage to Change the Things I can and the Wisdom to Know the Difference."

Number two, be grateful for everything good in your life. Even if this seems impossible at the time. You can always find one thing, more often many things, to be grateful for if you try, no matter how small! This will bring you back to the present moment
rather than focused on the future and what "could be" or the past and what
"should have been", focus on the NOW and what is.
When you do this you will notice a shift in your attitude!

Third consciously seek ways to gain the skills and knowledge you lack. In my experience this does two really important things; we gain the tools we need to deal with life's Winters and we experience a shift in perception. It has been said when you change the way you look at things the things you look at change. Mountains look like anthills. What you learn can lead to a change in a limiting and dis-empowering belief you now hold and the elimination of that belief can be the catalyst for powerful growth and personal success.

Simply put, "Nothing changes until we do." So how do we change? How do we create real lasting change?

It’s amazing, last year I invested in the market like many of you did, In fact it’s kind of what I do for a living, helping my clients invest, grow and protect their assets. But last year some of my investments were down quite a bit and I started asking myself what investment have I made or can I make that will never experience a down market? I thought about real-estate, Muni bonds, hedge funds etc... Finally It dawned on me, the one investment that always went up no matter what the market did was an investment made in myself.

Every time I have ever invested time, money and energy into my personal development the ROI(Return On Investment) has been phenomenal!

Some people thought I was crazy years ago and many still don't get it, spending thousands on workshops and seminars. Most people claim they don't have the time or the money but they can find $2,000 or $3,000 and 5 days for a vacation. In fact I spent one years vacation money on a personal development workshop and because of the things I learned there I have had double the opportunities and business growth I would have which, created three times as much money as I had before, that I can now spend how and wherever I want! People won't hesitate to spend 4 years and $50,000. on a university education but they will scoff at the idea of spending $4,000. 3 days on a powerful and potentially life changing workshop. Knowing what I know now I would have spent a lot more on workshops and education like that and less on my degree. I'm still paying student loans for a degree I don't I use.

In my life I have made and continue to make tremendous investments in myself such as reading and STUDYING self-help books, educational audio Cd's that I listen to in the car, workshops and seminars, I've worked with mentors and life coaches and more.

Why? Why do I stress the importance of personal development and the benefits of investing in yourself? Because it works! For me it is the best solution to any problem. It is the perfect road to a more empowered and fulfilling life. I've invested in my Spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional growth and the results have been astounding.

Let me share with you something not every one knows about me. I don't share this for sympathy but it may help explain my passion for the concept of investing in yourself as well as my desire to help others. I grew up in a poor inner city neighborhood. When I was young my family and I were on welfare for a brief time. As a child I remember a few holidays the church delivered bags of food. My Dad had trouble maintaing a job and left when I was 11 years old. Neither of my parents or grandparents went to college. As a teenager and even in my twenties, communication and quality relationships were a struggle. I smoked cigarettes, partied too much, ate poorly and didn’t work out. For years I had so much chaos in my life and at one point, not all that long ago, I was on the verge of Bankruptcy being harassed by collection calls, not knowing how I would survive!

Today I have learned to be more grateful, loving, open and present and have an abundance of deep meaningful relationships with people. I eat well, feel well and work out daily and recently completed my first half marathon. Now in my life I have meditation and the chaos has evaporated. I went from being in major debt not able to pay my bills to eliminating over $30,000. of debt in 18 months, better managing my money, paying bills with ease and having a lot more money and opportunity then ever before! I gained all the skills, connections and education to turn my life around by purposeful investment in myself!

The two major things I did to turn my life around was to invest in myself & seek solutions which took my mind off my problems rather bury my head or avoid dealing with my issues. The next thing I did was take the focus off of me, my needs, what I needed & wanted and I looked for ways to help others.(shifting from thoughts and feelings of lack and desperation, to thoughts of service and feelings of abundance)

If I can make this shift in my life anyone can. So here are tips for investing in You. I always like to give practical advice that you can actually incorporate in your life.

1. It is greater to spend 30 mins studying than 2 hours reading! Don’t just read personal development books and magazines or just listen to CD’s STUDY them. We retain much more with focused study. Highlight, take notes, read certain phrases and sentences out loud, categorize your notes and share with someone what you learned. This will help you absorb the material on a conscious and subconscious level to create real and lasting change.

2. Go to educational and motivational personal developement workshops spend the money it's worth it! I took vacation money, went to a workshop and because I spent the $3,000 I now have three times as much money as I would have had with more coming in everyday in ways I would never have expected. Now I can take any vacation I want.

3. Get a coach or mentor – Model successful people. I have had Mentors and coaches all my life. This is the best way to grow in any area of your life! Find someone, interview them, ask around for a referral. Make sure you're comfortable with that person and that they have a large amount success in the area you desire to grow in. This is the best way to realize your true potential.

Invest in You!

Peace & Prosperity,
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. It is taken for granted that because some one can earn a check they can manage that check but it's 2 different sets of skills.

As adults if we we're not taught how to build wealth, manage money and have fiscal success we need to go out and learn about money, and then pass that education to our children. This process is one of the main reasons why the rich get richer.

Donald Trump is merely a product of a home that had a real-estate tycoon in it (his Dad). But many do not have such examples in our homes and in our lives so we must seek them out. It is said people will earn an income with in 20% of the people they associate most with.

Two books that can have a profound effect on your beliefs and skill with money are "Secrets Of A Millionaire Mind" ~by T. Harv Eker is a great start along with "The Richest Man in Babylon" ~ by George S Clason ! These two books give a strong foundation that a person can build on. After you have Acquired the knowledge, "Each one Teach one" - pass it on!

And remember this one last thought, there is nothing you know, language, walking, driving a car, etc... that you were not first taught how to do before you did it. In addition when first doing anything you were not immediately a master. As T. Harv Eker says..."Every Master was once a disaster." The same goes for money do not let your ego get in the way or feel embarrassed in any way that you are learning about finances, money management and building wealth and do not fear making mistakes, you will and it's ok.

Finally the state of the current economy is simply a reflection of it's individual parts, that's Us. So...

To get involved, share your ideas and learn from others, check this out:

"The three day Youth Summit, entitled Democracy 2.0: Exploring the Millennial Generation's ROI, standing for "return on investment," will focus on (1) exploring the barriers preventing today's younger generation from achieving financial health and (2) developing the action plans necessary to begin setting an agenda for millennial-led economic reform in the United States."

http://www.pgpf.org/newsroom/MainFeature/millennial-youth-summit/

And this is a free Citizens guide available to print and for download in regards to the current economy and fiscal state of affairs.

http://www.pgpf.org/getinvolved/citizens-guide/

Thank you and remember to leave your comments and share your thoughts and ideas!

Peace&Prosperity
Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. When what we do feels important, it becomes important and that contributes to our sense of purpose, giving us the passion and a desire to work at our full potential.

I am a HUGE believer in personal development! I believe the bigger you are, the better you are, the stronger YOU are (inside -mentally, spiritually and emotionally), the smaller your problems become.

“What is your job” / “what is it you do here”?

I am of the humble opinion you/we are here on this earth to “Serve” others! The more we do this, the better we do this in our lives with an open heart the more good we receive. One simple note being a servant does not mean being a doormat. I mean to be of service to others in your life and career by doing good work, being kind and helpful etc… But you knew that. (just a reminder:)

The best part about being of service to others is when we are focused on our problems they’re Magnified – but when we look to serve others our problems disappear. This can be your escape. Beyond that, it has been my experience the most happy, successful and satisfied people in the world are not those that are focused on themselves and their own issues but rather the joy of helping others.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” ~ John F. Kennedy

“Perhaps the greatest social service that can be rendered by anybody to this country and to mankind is to bring up a family.”~ George Bernard Shaw

“Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Great Core Values

Be a positive Role model

Whether you are a parent, sibling, friend or coworker you can be a positive influence to anyone and everyone. You have the ability to be a role model everyday to someone in your life. The best way to be a positive role model is simple make good choices. That’s it; if you make good choices you’ll lead by example.

The second part to that is even if you mess up, admit it and then keep doing your best. We are all human and no one expects you to be perfect. In fact when you admit an error and do your best to correct it that is another opportunity to be a role model. You can teach people to learn from their mistakes, to get back on track and to be open and honest.

For me the best way to learn what I don’t know, to accomplish some thing I never have and to be more than I ever thought I could be is to find a mentor.

I can say honestly I am, who I am today, thanks to people who have guided me. I have been very fortunate in life to recognize when some one cared and was willing to help me; then gravitated towards that person and was able to learn from them; like a flower soaking up the rain.

In addition to this, when I had no mentor in my life for something I wanted to learn or become I sought them out in books, audio cd’s, websites and seminars. Here is a list of just “Some” of the people I study, admire and model my life after:

Dr Wayne Dyer, Oprah, Jay – Z, P Diddy or Sean Combs, Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins, Alex Mandosian, Jim Rohn, My Mom and Grandmother (who just turned 88 and still volunteers at a Catholic grade school in California), Donald Trump, Steve Jobs and Tiger Woods.

I promise if you study, read about, learn from and model just one of these people you’ll have a more fulfilling, amazing life beyond your expectations no matter what that means to you. Every role model had a role model. And to be a role model can be one of the most rewarding things you do and you don’t have to be rich or famous just make good choices and be “You”.

Creating the highest quality program

In my opinion and personal experience, on going professional development and being a life long learner is the best way or really the only way to create the highest quality “You”. If everyone had this mindset and focus at least to some degree, then creating a high quality program would be effortless.

You can’t give what you don’t have. This is true with Love, knowledge, energy, time, money etc… So the more you are, the more you have to give the more you bring to every relationship and that includes at home, at work and … with yourself!

It all starts with us. Anything we are involved in is merely the sum of its parts. The chain is only as strong as its weakest link, I’m sure you’ve heard that before. Another reality is that any group, job or relationship is just a mirror of the individuals. For example America is in Debt because collectively its citizens are in debt. This holds true anywhere so if we work on being the highest quality people it will automatically be reflected in our relationships and work.

"There is no labor a person does that is undignified; if they do it right."~ Bill Cosby

"It is the quality of our work which will please God and not the quantity."~ Mahatma Gandhi

"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives."~ William A. Foster

Perform as a strong team

As people we need each other, I think now more than ever. In the North East part of the world we tend to be a lil’ more closed off, cold like the weather. But we should never forget we are all connected and we need one another.

In your life you are part of many teams. Family team, work team, school team, maybe a sports team and even a neighborhood team. How well do you play on the teams your involved in? Where can you be a stronger link or play a bigger role? Don’t be afraid to be more open or to try harder.

A college professor once asked a class, “to have a successful relationship what percentage of effort does each party need to contribute?” One student feeling smart yelled out “50/50” immediately the professor shot over a look of dissatisfaction, a few seconds later another brave student said “51/49 because you have to be willing to give more” and finally someone guessed 80/20 why I have no idea. The professor walked over to the board and wrote 100% - 0! He said…“You have to be willing to put in 100% effort with zero expectation in return, because you can’t expect to receive the best from someone, if you don’t give your best to someone. And although we can never control what someone else does or does not do, we CAN ALWAYS control what we do…or do not do!”

“Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.” ~Henry Ford

”The strength of the team is each individual member...the strength of each member is the team.” ~ Coach Phil Jackson Chicago Bulls, LA Lakers

Meaningful connections

Finally the best for last! To me this goes hand in hand with service to others is making meaningful connections; it’s why we are here on this planet! The definition of a meaningful connection I have said is:

“A connection has been a meaningful one when, all parties involved feel satisfied and have received sufficient value for their time, money or energy contributed.”

I Really liked some answers I've heard before even better like creating trust or giving and receiving respect.

The fact of the matter is in order to have a meaningful connection you have to be: 1. Present and in the moment. This means you are focused on what and who is in front of you at that time, not stressing the past or thinking about what you’re going to have for lunch; you are focused and concentrated on who you interacting with. 2. You genuinely care about whether or not the person(s) is satisfied or fulfilled with the interaction.

To often we talk just to get out words rather than to really communicate. It’s lazy or we think we’re just being polite and really that is “impolite”. In addition, people often have the bad habit of waiting to speak rather than actually listening. We are so concerned in saying what we want to say and we never really hear other people and if we are doing that to them…they are probably doing that to us.

I cannot stress the beauty in really caring for others, really listening and having engaging, deep meaningful connections with people. Not just saying, “how are you” while racing past someone to get to your next destination. This will mean slowing down more often and I know in today's fast pace world this can be a tough task but it’s worth it. Practicing this can change lives; yours and all those you come in contact with.

“I am a part of all that I have met”~ Alfred Tennyson

“Each contact with a human being is so rare, so precious, one should preserve it”~ Anais Nin

“We cannot hold a torch to light another’s path without brightening our own”~ Ben Sweetland

Tools

So all if this may sound great but here are some tools that have helped many others and myself be able to deal with stress and actually implement the above core values with a little more ease.

1. Handle conflict, its not you (deal with the problem not people) – Keep in mind whenever you are in or dealing with a conflict it’s not about you. You or the other party are just upset over an event or situation and if you step back and say "how can we come to a resolution that is satisfactory to us both", rather than attacking each other it will be easier to successfully deal with the issue at hand.

2. Release tension exercise – part 1. Close your eyes, sit comfortably in a chair and picture an event or person that is currently or has recently upset you or caused you stress. Get the image firm in your mind and think about how they or the situation, really hurt you. After you have this focus clear in your mind for 30 secs or so, squeeze your shoulders up tightly raising them to your ears creating tension and hold...SQUEEZE! Then let go. Part 2. Now keeping your eyes closed, body upright, feet on the floor hands on lap, in a comfortable position, take a minute to notice any left over tension and breath deep while relaxing that part of your body until you are almost limp and totally relaxed. I want you to bring up that person or event again. This time though, imagine either the person quite and smiling or if it’s an event picture yourself now outside in the sun on a perfect day. Now I want you to image the perfect outcome in place of what happened or what you fear happens. I mean perfect!! You hit the lottery, the person apologized sincerely AND bought you a gift, whatever it is, it’s exactly the perfect resolution. Finally while holding this image and most importantly “feeling the good feeling” associated with the great outcome I want you to smile and take 3 long, deep, relaxing breaths then end the last breath exhaling the word PEACE! Open your eyes. If need be repeat part 2 several times till you feel peaceful and relaxed and the perfect outcome seems real.

3. Remember the bigger picture – Write your goals down and refocus your mind. Concentrate on the love, the mission, the goal. Rather than stress one temporary issue that may seem big at the moment OR worry over some minor detail, stop and remember, often times we when we look back we realize what appeared to be a "Mountain" was really just a mole hill. So pause...breath...and "focus on the bigger thing & what makes your heart sing." It’s too easy to stress little stuff and lose sight of what’s really important.

4. Rely on each other – Don’t be scared to open up. Ask for help. If you want to serve, sometimes the best way to serve is to ask for help and give someone else the opportunity, the “Gift” of serving and helping You; it’s a win-win. Remember being a team means you rely on each other. This will make for more meaningful connections and the best role models know when to ask for help and ask often.

5. Create a success and gratitude journal – It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who want more in their life but aren’t grateful for what they have now. God, the universe, an employer, will never give you more if you don’t appreciate what you have already been given; no matter how much or how little that is. Also, it is so much easier to bring more good in your life when you are happy and grateful so every morning write in a journal, first thing at breakfast time, 3 things (people, situations, things etc…) that you are grateful and then close your eyes, put on a smile and FEEL grateful! Really take a minute and say “Ahhh…Thank You.” The next part to this is building on your small successes to create bigger ones. The more you appreciate and reccognize your small successes the more confidence you will build, giving you the strength to try more things, take bigger risks and accomplish bigger successes. There is no big success without small success. For example Oprah Whinfrey did not wake up a billionaire. She first went to school, worked hard, made mistakes and learned from them, become committed to a career, practiced her butt off, had a small radio show, which became a big radio show, which became a small talk show to an empire. And all that started with her getting up and getting to work on time. So appreciating the little and BIG successes daily by writing 3 successes you had that day from, eating a good healthy breakfast, getting your kid (or husband) to do something you ask without a fight…to getting a raise or positive acknowledgement at work. Keep this journal, writing 3 things to be grateful for and 3 successes everyday for 90 days! It will change your life for the better guaranteed.

I hope you find these ideas of value and I wish for you...

Peace & Prosperity,

Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. That is why I have dedicated my life and this blog to doing just that. That is also why I am so excited to share this post with you.

Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing Melissa Bochet, virtual assistant and Owner of Thrive Assistants, LLC.

I learned so much from speaking with Melissa. If you are a sales professional in any field, an entrepreneur or soloprenuer or a small business owner who has too much to do a Virtual Assistant may be a viable answer to that hectic schedule which, is keeping you from growing your business, selling more or doing MORE of the thinigs you enjoy and are good at and LESS of the "Other Stuff".

Me: Melissa good morning and thanks for giving me some of your time, I know you're very busy, so let's jump right into it. "Virtual” is such a popular buzz word in today’s online focused society and lately I’ve heard a lot about “virtual assistants”. As the business owner of a virtual assistance company, can you better define that term?

Melissa: Sure. Virtual Assistants provide a large variety of administrative support for small businesses owners and professionals, not unlike a secretary or administrative assistant you would find at any office Except:
· VA’s work from home
· Typically each VA works with more than one client
· Typically a VA is highly skilled and qualified in her field
· VA’s work as an independent contractors

Me: How is the VA model a better value or solution to business professionals vs. just hiring an administrative assistant?

Melissa: This model is a huge benefit to many small business owners, and business professionals because you can get high value at a low cost! Here are just a few of the top reasons why:

1. You pay only for the time you need. Let’s face it, most struggling professionals need help but can’t afford someone part time, let alone full time. You can hire a virtual assistant for 5 hours one week, 15 hours the next and not at all week after that. Some VA will ask for a bank of hours per month, but you can shop around and find one that works for you.
2. You can utilize VA services for a one-time project or hire for long-term, ongoing projects
3. You don't have to pay any employee taxes or benefits.
4. VA’s are typically high end assistants much more qualified than a low salary worker. They may perform tasks such as website design, SEO tasks, newsletters, brochure creation and research in addition to typical tasks such as data entry, typing and mailings.

Me: There are lots of Virtual Assistants to choose from. How do I know what VA to choose? How do I know his or her level of qualifications? Is there an industry standard?

Melissa: Good question. There are a variety of certifications from various sources but currently there is no standard in the industry. I would suggest you pick a VA who will best work with your personality and your industry. Today, many VA’s have picked a niche where they excel. For instance, some specialize in real estate, publishing, legal transcription, bookkeeping services and more. So picking a VA in your field makes good sense. Here are some steps to take when searching for the right VA:
1. Pick a VA with a niche in your field or VA who has talents in areas you need support in.
2. Interview them. Much like a job interview, checks their references, talk to their clients. 3. Remember there is no reason why you have to make a long term commitment so you can test the waters. If the VA is willing to do a couple projects for you, you may be able to determine if you want to continue working with them or find someone new.

Me: Melissa, your niche with Thrive Assistant Services is Sales and Marketing. Why did you choose this area and how is this a benefit for your clients?

Melissa: I was in sales for many years before starting my own business. I remember prospecting taking up so much time when I just wanted to have appointments and “sell”. Cold Calling was brutal and organizing my time was always a struggle. I knew that prospecting and following up was a HUGE part of succeeding in sales, but time didn’t seem to be on my side. I want to reduce or eliminate this struggle for sales people. Very few virtual assistance companies do this. There has been such a need, that my business has certainly grown.

Me: Not only is the "Virtual Assistant" concept still faily new and unique for most but amongst your peers in the indusrty Thrive Assistants" is unique. What is YOUR marketing plan and how are you keeping up and evolving with the market?

Melissa: When I started out, I thought I could do everything for anyone. What I found was that I did an adequate job, but not the great job I could be doing if I focused my efforts. Still, I’ve grown to 3 employees and have been, in my opinion, moderately successful. Recently I have done a lot of research and moving forward, I plan to specialize working in an area I’ve found I’ve had the most success - the financial B2B sector. This would include working with clients such as CPA’s, Financial Advisors, Insurance Agents and Business Brokers. By focusing on the needs of these individuals in this field and on what their clients want, I believe I can really provide extraordinary results.

Me: Melissa thank you so much for your time today. Icertainly have a clearer picture of what you do and have convinced me of the many benefits of what you do! In closing I would like to ask you one last question. If you could summarize for the readers, How do the services you offer as a vritual assistant and leader in the virtual assistant industry add value to peoples lives?

Melissa: When a person can spend more time doing the things they enjoy and focus more energy on the things that make them money they usually live happier and less stressful lives. What I do and all virtual assistants do is give the gift of time. We also give people and business owners a more flexible and affordable option to thier administraion needs.

Me: Melissa it has been a pleasure speaking with you and I thank you for your time.

To learn more about Melissa and Virtual Assistants Please visit http://www.thriveassistants.com/

Peace & Prosperity

Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. Basketball, football, baseball etc.; coaches were for athletes. Today coaches are not just for athletes. Tony Robbins, professional coach, speaker, best selling author of "Awaken the Giant Within" has coached actors, entrepreneurs, CEO's, politicians and presidents of countries and has been credited with having started the industry of life coaching. Now there are schools that teach the art of life and business coaching. There are great coaches all accross the country and there is probably one in your town or city.

The idea of having a personal life coach or business coach is becoming more mainstream and lots of people are taking their lives and careers to the next level with the assistance of personal coaching.

Personal business and life coaches are a great asset to those who wish to live more effectively, efficiently and with more joy and harmony.

To help answer a few of the questions that people tend to have about the benefits or process of working with a personal coach I spoke with business owner, speaker and personal coach Kay Wilson and here is what she said:

(D)Why would someone hire an executive coach?
(K)Because of a strong desire to make rapid progress. A coach is able to help the client see patterns and make connections that enable conscious creation – the creation of what the client consciously wants. Whether it be improving the managerial relationship with subordinates, or improving public presentation skills, the coaching process accelerates change.

(D)What can a coach do for me that I can’t do for myself?
(K)If the coach is able to develop a relationship with the client, the coach can notice things the client isn’t noticing and reflect them back to the client. People get stuck because they are blind to an aspect of their situation. A coach works with you to get some insight and help you take the blinders off.

(D)How does coaching work?
(K)Coaching is a relationship in which the coach is devoted to the development and progress of the client. Through a series of coaching conversations or exercises, the coach is able to draw out of the client what the client wants and values. Next, the coach works with the client to develop strategies for obtaining what they want and typically a goal will be set with a deadline or time frame. The coach then serves to hold the client accountable for taking on manageable tasks to get into action. Clients report that they made rapid progress through the trust and openness of the coaching relationship.

Kay Wilson is an attorney, coach and motivational speaker. She coaches executives and professionals to help them increase effectiveness and play a bigger game. For more information about Kay Wilson and Business coaching check out http://www.blogger.com/www.KayWilsonCoaching.com

Looking for Success? Balance vs. Harmony

More and more people are looking for success in all areas of life, personal relationships, financial and business. This is where a coach is key. Granted success means different things to different people so when I inquire further a lot of people tell me that they want "balance". Ah, balance. Dictionary.com defines balance as a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc. The battle to equilibrium between good & bad, the yin & yang, the elusive 50-50 meaning the perfect blend of work and personal life. I have great got news for you...it doesn't exist so you can stop looking. Think about it, there is always a sacrifice; work, money, family, personal time. We are always choosing in favor of what is priority for us in that moment.

If you think about it, this should start bringing you more peace and happiness right away which, is ultimately what we want when we search for balance. Basically I'm saying your normal, be happy. Now I know what I have just said goes against what many others believe is possible but don't misunderstand me. Although a perfect 50/50 balance may not realistic, you can have "Harmony". You can have joy in your life at all times. You can have good healthy relationships, financial and business success, health and personal time. But because one of these areas in your life always takes priority, rather than balance you can have harmony.

Dictionary.com defines Harmony as a consistent, orderly, or pleasing arrangement of parts; congruity. Consistence, order and congruity thus every part of your life working together to serve another part all in harmony. This means the absence of guilt that your not spending enough time with your family. You won't feel disconnected and stressed at work and you'll have enough personal time to renew and recharge.

Bigger is Better

One thing Kay Wilson mentioned that is BIG, literally, was playing a "bigger game". From past experiences and what I see in too many lives is people playing small. Playing "Big" means expanding your comfort zone, taking risks, working towards a goal that may seem impossible at first but doing it anyway. Playing big may be scary at first, that's natural. We all experience fear, a lot of people have this lofty notion that having major talent or success means the absence of fear but that's not the case. They Act "in spite" of fear! People who are truly talented and successful have simply learned to deal with the fear and figured out how to overcome it. This is another area where a coach is great.

A coach can help you recognize when fear is a factor and how to handle it. Often when we feel like there is nothing more we can do or we've tried everything , a coach will ask the right questions and offer guidance that could help you find an inner strength you didn't know you had or an answer you wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Playing bigger is important. We can be better to our families, ourselves and do more for the world when we play bigger. If you get use to thinking bigger and acting bigger it will become a habit and then one day you'll realize you're truly making the most of your life and then everyone wins.

Playing bigger is a self-less act. If you're a giver and have a philanthropic nature, than think about how much more you could give as a multi millionaire. If you're a business owner think of how many more jobs you could create by growing your company beyond what you think is possible. If you're a real-estate agent think of how many more people you can get into homes helping them fulfill their dreams.

Another key about playing bigger is that when you shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars. Remember this, failure doesn't exist, there is meeting your goal and then there is just an opportunity for learning and personal growth. Not achieving a bigger goal just gives you a chance to learn a bigger lesson which, you will certainly find helpful the next time you play big. Because what doesn't kill us makes us stronger; cliche' I know, but it doesn't make it any less true!

Get a coach

Different coach's have different methods and styles in which they work. A lot of coach's have a niche' where they specialize in a specific area. There are spiritual coaches, personal life coaches business coaches and more. If you wish to accelerate growth in any area working with a coach can be just what you need. Accountability, suggestions and clarity, inspiration, personal discovery and much, much more; all of these are things a coach can help you with. When looking for your coach I would suggest you interview a two or three and find one that suits your needs and you feel compatible with. Your coach is someone you should feel very comfortable with allowing you to be truthful and open and allowing them to help you as much as possible. To find a personal coach you can call Kay Wilson (see link above) or check out this site http://www.ipeccoaching.com/.

This post and the next post is dedicated to the memory of Lori Woodhouse. Lori was my life coach for over a year. I learned so much from her and am forever grateful for the opportunity I had to work with her and be blessed by her wisdom and light. Lori passed away suddenly on December 17, 2007. Lori was much loved, and she is sorely missed.

Peace & Prosperity,

Dallas M Cyr

Dallas M. I'll also give you the right questions to ask and great resources so you can find out what you were born to do and how to live a life of passion.

It's so Important to live your life doing what you love:

If we all lived lives of purpose, in careers that "lit our fire's", satisfied us and stretched our limits I am convinced life would be better in many ways. You would be happier more often. You would serve others in more ways and do so with a joyful heart. Living a life of passion would improve your mood through out the day thus having a direct affect on your immune system and health. Stronger immune system equals better health, better health means less sickness and disease.

Many doctors will tell you that your attitude will have a direct affect on your immune system. Dr. Bruce Fife C.N., N.D., a certified nutritionist and naturopathic and author of "What You Eat May be Killing You" (I know scary title but what he says makes sense:) he says, "Develop a positive mental attitude. Your mind and your attitude have a great deal of influence over your health. If you are determined to improve your health and believe you can, you most likely will get better. You have to have faith and think positively. Our mental attitude affects the immune system. Believe it or not, if you think you can recover from illness, your immune system actually works better. Negative feelings depress the immune system."

What better way to maintain a positive attitude, than to do what you are specifically designed to do! Live every day doing only the things that truly "light your fire". Live doing only the things your passionate about.

I believe you and everyone in the world is uniquely created to do something in life that only you are designed to do. Sure there are other Electricians, Realtors, Financial Planners, Artists, etc... but there is only one that is best suited to work with your clientele, only one that thinks the way you do or works the way you do and that's...YOU. You're unique and talented and the world needs what you have to offer.

Growing up your parents reassure you that you can do anything you want! Your parents tell you, you can be an astronaut, fireman or a doctor; anything they say. And then as adults we lose site of that yet nothing has changed, YOU CAN BE ANYTHING! Your current situation OR your past has Nothing to do with your future and who you choose to become. You limit You. No matter what has happened to you in the past, what your age is, what your current career is, none of that is actually holding you back from living your ideal life and living your passions. Don't get me wrong those may be obstacles In your life or things you use as excuses to why you can't live the life you want to live but again, really, at the core "You Limit You". The only thing that has changed since you were a child and your parents and teachers told you that you could be anything, is your attitude, your belief in yourself.

In my life I have struggled through many situations. As a child in school I was bullied, my Dad moved away when I was eleven years old, I suffered with depression for a while in my late teens and early twenties and I have been poor, I mean really broke. Trust me there is more but my point is not to highlight my struggles, it's to say "I have been there" but I never stopped searching for answers, ways to improve myself, examples and stories of people who went from failure to success, rag to riches and there are tons of those stories.

Here are just a few examples of people who live their passions dispite adversity:

Grandma Moses - who was told as child she couldn't paint because the family couldn't afford it. She was told that she was meant to work on the farm and have a family but not to become a painter. When her arthritis wouldn't allow to work the farm or embroider anymore, at the age of 75, she began to paint. Shortly after she became wealthier than ever before and gained fame and notoriety for her art. She died at the age 101. She lived 26 years following her heart and living her passion.

Steve Jobs - Founder of Apple computer, here is a 14min. clip of a 2005 commencement speech Steve Jobs gave that tells his story. He can tell his story better than me. Listen for the part where he says, "He trusted it would all work out"... because "IT" did! In fact he was fired from his own company, yet him and Apple are back on top. **WARNING, THIS CLIP COULD AND MAY CHANGE YOUR LIFE** (right click and you'll be able to open the clip in a seperate window) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1R-jKKp3NA

Tom Cruise - Tom and his family grew up very poor. They traveled allot and he never spent much time in one school. Tom struggled with dyslexia growing up and never did well in school. He put his attention on sports until a knee injury derailed his hopes of an athletic career. He joined a monastery thinking priesthood was what he wanted but that was not for him. Although he had acted in a few plays in high school he had no formal training. With determination and his mothers support he decided to pursue an acting career and you know how that turned out.

And the list goes on and on and on and ... you get the point.

One of the problems I see is that our school system doesn't support the idea of living your passion and following your heart. Thank goodness for college drop outs like Bill Gates and Kanye West, who follow their dreams and change the world. I'm Not advising that kids drop out of school, I am suggesting there should be a class, as early as 1st grade, where children are taught to discover their passion in life, to listen to and follow their hearts and then to make a good living doing whatever it is they're born to do. This process should be repeated all the way through college. Instead of this ideal we get trapped early in life working for a paycheck. We get stuck. As time goes on we get more discouraged and start to believe we can't make a living doing what we love and that is not true; we've just never been taught how. The book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is a great book that helps people deal with the fear of failure, how to build wealth and how to avoid being trapped in what Robert calls "the rat race".

Learning to find your path and live your passion:

If all of this makes sense so far but you are just confused to what you're really meant to do in life OR you know but you need the courage, confidence and know how to live it; here are some answers:

1. Ask questions -Turn off the T.V. or radio and ask yourself:

What do I love to do? What excites me?

If I new I couldn't fail what would I attempt to do?

What would I be willing to do for free?

What has happened in my life that I could help others learn from?

What business owner, actor, singer politician or leader do I admire and respect?

When you ask these questions listen in peace and quiet to the answer and then write it down, With Out Judgement! Write down whatever comes to mind. Don't question your answer, don't judge your answer and in no way limit yourself ...Just Write.

2. Take the passion test - Yup there is a test:

The test was created by Chris and Janet Atwood. They created a test to help you find your true passions in life and they have written a life changing book called, take a guess,... The Passion Test (did you guess right?) The test is easy and fun and the book is amazing with stories and suggestions to help you. Here is the link to their website where you can take the test and buy the book. http://www.thepassiontest.com/

3. Go to a seminar - Invest in yourself:

People will go to college and spend thousands but someone says "Seminar" and some people will think your crazy. In my experience I have learned a lot more about myself, life, and business at a 2 day or 4 day seminar then in four years 0f college. You heard me mention in my last message how amazing the "Life Directions" seminar by T Harv Eker and his company Peak Potentials is and that is just one of many created to help you live to your full potential. Below is that link one more time. The "Life Directions" workshop is amazing and it helps thousands of people find their passion in life and their life Mission. You will learn, grow and change for the better in a very fun and very supportive environment. There are many other companys that offer workshops like these, but these are the only ones I have personally experienced but take my word they're life altering.

http://www.secretsofthemillionairemind.com/a/?wid=472916

The End and Now it's Time For Action:

You have heard why it's important to do what you love to do and live a life of passion. I have shared with you stories of people who have overcome obstacles to make their dreams come true and I have given you tools to do the same. Unfortuneately words and resources alone will not help you or change your life but the action you take because of those words and resources will! SO What are You Waiting For?? Two, worry is an emotion rooted in fear. Fear will not serve you. Some people think fear is a motivator and that it causes some people to take action. The action you may take might serve you, but that same action could also be taken with out the worry or fear. Third, worry is a choice! Never fool yourself into thinking you have no control over your emotions. Lastly, if you're worried that means you're not "present". You're not in the moment, instead your brain is jumping ahead to the "what if", the future, rather than being in the moment.

Next time you find yourself in a place of worry or fear...take action. I dare you to try and worry plus take action at the same time, it's impossible. What do I mean by take action? Take "right" action; something that will move you forward. Start writing a top ten list of your favorite things to do on a beautiful summer day or 5 goals you wish to accomplish this year and really give thought to what your passionate about. You could also watch a funny movie or put on some uplifting music, read a good book, go to the gym etc...

Here is an action you can take...WORK. Whenever I was down or worried about an outcome, a mentor of mine always told me, "work don't whine". As a financial advisor just starting out years ago I had some pretty discouraging days and my mentor would tell me to make phone calls to clients and prospective clients, and I would feel better. Of course it would be the last thing I wanted to do, but I knew he was right. Afterwards I always felt better, no matter what the outcome because while I was making calls the worry was gone and when I was done there was always something positive I could take away from what I did. Even if it was something small, like one of the people I spoke to was nice and gave me permission to call back

Worry is fruitless and life is meant to be fruitful at all times!

I attended a personal development workshop recently called "Life Directions" and to sum it up it's a very powerful workshop intended to help you find your mission or "Direction" in life. One of the exercises had us write a poem or song expressing what we feel is our message to the world. Here is my song, can you name that tune:

"Here's a little song I wrote, I'd like to sing it note for note
say don't worry, be happy.
Fear is nothing but anticipation of pain, don't let negative thoughts poison your brain
so don't worry, be happy.
for when you live your mission it's true, the vision of your life will come to you
so don't worry, be happy.
Don't worry about the "how" cause worry's bad for your health
and all it ever does is stagnate your wealth,
so don't worry, be happy"

I hope that you enjoyed reading my blog and received some value from this message.
